I have spent so long making art to be reproduced as printed tees or books, that I don't often share original personal work . In the fall of 2024 I spent a semester in a figure drawing class and built up a body of work with drawings and paintings that explored 2 different themes.

These 19.5" X 25" Ink wash and Acrylic paintings use figure drawings of family members invaded by intricately and horrifyingly invasive bio mechanics that are about pain and injury that so many of us can relate to.

While in the figure drawing class I was enjoying doing straight observational drawings but help thinking about the possibility of integrating imaginative illustration into the observational studies of figures. These Conte drawings that I embellished with brush and India Ink were a few of the results.
